Hello! My name is Lindsay Gorham. I will be working together with you and your child this year in 6th Grade. This is my 15th year teaching for Cassopolis Public Schools. I have taught first grade, third grade, fifth grade, and most recently, Title I Math. This will be my second year in 6th grade.
I have 2 step-daughters, Cassy and Tiffany. My 3 sons' names are Logan, Ethan and Jayden. I love them with all that I am.
I attended Western Michigan University where I graduated in 2002 with my Bachelor of Science degree with triple minors. I minored in Elementary Education, Middle School Math/Science, and Integrated Creative Arts. I also have my Early Childhood endorsement. More recently, I graduated in 2009 with a Masters of Arts in Education Degree from Spring Arbor University.
I enjoy sports of all types. My love runs deep for Michigan teams! On any given day, you will hear me cheering for the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings, and the Detroit Lions! I also have taken a liking to participating in 5K runs. I enjoy the excitement, the thrill, and the feeling of satisfaction that accompanies me when I complete the races.
Becoming a teacher has been the best thing that has happened in my life, next to becoming a momma, of course! My fourth grade teacher inspired me to want to become a teacher myself, and that is what I hope to do with the students that I come in contact with every day. My dream is to inspire children to want to do their best, aim high, and achieve all of their dreams that they have set for themselves.
I have a passion for learning and teaching alike. I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and I look forward to a successful and enjoyable year, working side by side, with you and your child! Let's make this year one to remember!:)
